Growing Up in a single parent house where his mom worked three jobs at a time to support him and his two sisters, David learned at an early age the value of hard work and dedication. As he got older, he joined the Marine Corps. where he served over sea and fought in Desert Storm. Where he learned about small unit leadership. After getting out he went to college in Vermont, Arizona and worked for several small businesses. In that time, he found his passion to help small and big businesses. Since then he has started several businesses and a non-profit to help veterans.

Creating a Nonprofit Driven by a commitment to social responsibility, David Rafus established the 1 Veteran Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping veterans with PTSD. Under his guidance, the nonprofit has made substantial strides in helping veterans get PTSD Service Dogs, touching countless lives and fostering positive change.
